うつくしいひとを作る

KOOGEN（クーゲン）のコンセプトは「うつくしいひとを作る」です。映像や舞台などの作品に登場する人物像を、総合的な視点で生み出します。クーゲンはこれを「人物デザイン」と呼んでいます。

 

人物デザインは、キャラクターにかかわる専門職を統括し、総合的に扮装を作る方法で、プロフェッショナルの現場を通じて開発しました。この名称は、2010年に担当したNHK大河ドラマ『龍馬伝』において、柘植伊佐夫に与えられた「人物デザイン監修」に由来します。

 

すべての作品には背景があり、俳優は役柄に自分を重ねて変容に努力します。人が変わろうとする献身は、すべての人々に共通するもので、その一途さは外面をも磨き上げていきます。人のうつくしさとは容姿の美醜ではなく、献身のもとに現れる存在です。

 

献身によって変容する人。それを柘植伊佐夫は「うつくしいひと」ととらえています。それを具体的な形へサポートするチームがKOOGENです。

CREATE THE BEAUTY

The concept of KOOGEN is “Create The  Beauty”
It produces character images appearing in films, stage productions, and other works through a comprehensive perspective and methodology. KOOGEN calls this approach “Jinbutsu Design" (Character & Persona Design)”

 

Jinbutsu Design is a method developed by Isao Tsuge, the representative of KOOGEN, through his professional field experience. It oversees the various specialists involved in character creation and synthesizes them into an integrated design of appearance and performance.The term originates from the role of “Jinbutsu Design Supervisor” that Tsuge was given in the 2010 NHK Taiga drama Ryōmaden.

 

Every work has its own background, and actors devote themselves to transformation by merging their own being with the role. The dedication to change is something shared by all people, and such single-minded commitment also refines their outward appearance. True human beauty is not a matter of physical features but a presence that emerges through devotion.
