うつくしいひとを作る

KOOGEN（クーゲン）のコンセプトは「うつくしいひとを作る」です。映像や舞台などの作品に登場する人物像を、総合的な視点で生み出します。クーゲンはこれを「人物デザイン」と呼んでいます。

 

人物デザインは、キャラクターにかかわる専門職を統括し、総合的に扮装を作る方法で、プロフェッショナルの現場を通じて開発しました。この名称は、2010年に担当したNHK大河ドラマ『龍馬伝』において、柘植伊佐夫に与えられた「人物デザイン監修」に由来します。

 

すべての作品には背景があり、俳優は役柄に自分を重ねて変容に努力します。人が変わろうとする献身は、すべての人々に共通するもので、その一途さは外面をも磨き上げていきます。人のうつくしさとは容姿の美醜ではなく、献身のもとに現れる存在です。

 

献身によって変容する人。それを柘植伊佐夫は「うつくしいひと」ととらえています。それを具体的な形へサポートするチームがKOOGENです。

CREATE THE BEAUTY

KOOGEN’s concept is “creating a beautiful person.”
We design the characters who appear in film, theatre, and other productions from a fully integrated perspective. KOOGEN refers to this approach as “Jinbutsu Design（Character Visual Direction)”

 

Jinbutsu Design is a method that unifies and directs all professional departments involved in a character, producing the total appearance of a role. It was developed through practical work in professional production sites.
The term originates from the role “Jinbutsu Design Supervisor,” which was given to Isao Tsuge for the 2010 NHK Taiga drama “Ryomaden.”

 

Every production has its own background, and actors devote themselves to transforming into their roles. The dedication of a person who strives to change is universal, and such commitment ultimately refines the outward appearance as well. The beauty of a person is not a matter of facial attractiveness; it is the presence that emerges from devotion.

 

A person transformed through devotion — this is what Isao Tsuge perceives as “a beautiful person.”
KOOGEN is the team that guides such individuals toward a concrete and visible form.
