うつくしいひとを作る

 

　KOOGENのコンセプトは「うつくしいひとを作る」です。映像や舞台などの作品に登場するキャラクターや、企業や個人の求める人物像。 その理想をともに考え、総合的に容姿を作り出す。 クーゲンはこれを「人物デザイン」と呼んでいます。

　人物デザインは、プロフェッショナルの現場を通じて、代表柘植伊佐夫が開発した方法です。キャラクター制作にかかわる専門職を統括し、総合的に扮装を作ります。名称は2010年担当のNHK大河ドラマ『龍馬伝』において、柘植に与えられた「人物デザイン監修」に由来します。

　作品には背景があり、俳優は役柄に自分を重ねて変容します。変容への献身は俳優ばかりでなく、一般の方々の人生にも見てとることができます。その内面の一途さは外面を磨き上げて人を美しく磨きます。うつくしさとは献身そのものです。

　献身によって変容する人。それを柘植伊佐夫は「うつくしいひと」ととらえています。そのうつくしさを具体的な形にするチームがKOOGENです。

CREATE THE BEAUTY

The concept of KOOGEN is "Creating Beautiful People." This applies to characters appearing in films and stage productions, as well as the ideal personas sought by companies and individuals. KOOGEN collaborates to envision these ideals and comprehensively shape their appearance. We refer to this process as "Jinbutsu Design" (Character & Persona Design).

Jinbutsu Design is a methodology developed by Isao Tsuge, KOOGEN's representative, through his experience in professional creative fields. This process involves overseeing specialists in character creation and integrating various elements to achieve a cohesive transformation. The term originates from the title "Jinbutsu Design Supervisor" that Tsuge was assigned for the 2010 NHK Taiga drama "Ryomaden."

Every production has its own narrative, and actors undergo a transformation as they embody their roles. However, the act of transformation is not exclusive to actors—it is also seen in the lives of ordinary individuals. Their dedication to transformation refines their outward appearance, making them more radiant. Beauty is, in essence, the embodiment of devotion.

A person who transforms through dedication—this is what Isao Tsuge defines as a "beautiful person." KOOGEN is the team that gives tangible form to this beauty.
